The Candy Shoppe on Main is your destination for all things candy and chocolate in China Grove, NC. We have tons of old-fashioned candy, fudge, and chocolate. There is a hand-dipped ice cream counter inside too. The candy wall runs from nostalgic favorites to imported, sour, and novelty sweets. Our fudge is made locally in North Carolina, including a Cheerwine swirl. We also spin thick milkshakes and pour Cheerwine and Sun Drop slushies. The cooler is stocked with glass bottle sodas. There is seating inside, so grab a spot and stay a while. Locally owned and serving China Grove since 2019. Do not see a favorite on the shelf? Just ask, and we will try to order it in. Open Monday through Saturday.

When I look at this shop I see a piece of history and I was so excited to go in and explore only to find remnants and pieces of things here and there it did not have the feel of a candy shop nor did it have much candy. They didn't have their ice cream all beautifully showed and it just was not a very welcoming environment. This needs to be like Willy Wonka but wonked on every level.

Very fun and inviting sweets shoppe. They have cupcakes, fudge, chocolate covered treats, and name brand candy. They also have a kid's version of a saloon where they make milkshakes and sodas. There's seating to dine in and even complete a table top puzzle. A classic use of the historic building. The owner is a perfect match for the atmosphere so you're sure to feel at home.

I was only interested in the Dubai chocolate bars, since apparently it’s the only place that carries them in the area. I had purchased one from Amazon, imported, and although delicious, it was quite expensive. $29 before taxes, for an 8 oz bar. Believe it or not, the gentleman that runs this place charged me $15 for a 2.68 oz bar (not even 3oz)!!!, roughly wrapped in golden foil and in a ziplock bag. Compare it with a green and golden beautifully designed packaging from the Amazon Turkish manufacturer. I wanted to support local business, but this one lost me. Because I was there last week and called today, he might have thought I would pay anything for that tiny bar. I purchased only one because I wanted to weigh and compare. Never go back to that place again. By the way, the fudge I purchased last week was horrible. Tasted burnt.

Found this little gem. The gentleman was super nice and made us feel welcome. Kids absolutely loved their ice cream. Check them out!!!

I went to the Candy Shoppe on Tuesday. Bought a 1/2 pound chocolate peanuts, two coconut bon bons, two pieces of fudge with nuts, one chocolate barkd ^?& two peanut butter Christmas trees. They all the candy in a little white box & put a gold ribbon around it. It is so pretty & the candy choc was totally awesome. Pay them a visit. Your kids will love this place & so you humans will too
